The village of Novye Yurkovichi in the Bryansk region came under fire, the governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz said in Telegram. It is located 1.5 km from the border with the Chernihiv region of Ukraine.

“Today, from 5 in the morning, artillery shelling of the village of Novye Yurkovichi, Klimovsky district, was carried out from the territory of Ukraine”,— he wrote.

No harm done. A section of the road was damaged as a result of the shelling.

Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on 24 February. Kyiv imposed martial law and severed diplomatic relations with Moscow. Representatives of 141 out of 193 countries in the UN General Assembly condemned the actions of the Russian authorities, demanded a ceasefire and the withdrawal of troops.

Since the start of hostilities, the border authorities of the Bryansk, Belgorod and Kursk regions have repeatedly announced shelling from Ukrainian territory.

The last time the Ukrainian military shelled the village of Zernovo, Suzemsky district, Bryansk region on July 17, Bogomaz said. According to him, they fired 29 shells. None of the civilians were injured, civilian infrastructure was not damaged.
