The Ministry of Digital Transformation opposes the legalization of unlicensed software in Russia. This was stated by the head of the department Maksut Shadayev, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
The Minister also noted that counting on the return of large foreign IT companies to the domestic market is not yet worth it.
“We do not see any signs that someone is planning to return,” he said, speaking at the CNews FORUM forum Cases: experience IT leaders».
Shadayev also added that Russia continues to receive components for domestic telecommunications and computer equipment.
Recall that American companies Microsoft, Oracle and Autodesk have suspended their activities in the Russian Federation. Temporarily left the Russian market IBM.
Earlier, the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation proposed to fix the increase in the total costs of state-owned companies on domestic software up to 80%. In addition, from 2025 on critical infrastructure facilities there will be a ban on the purchase of foreign software, regardless of the country of origin.
