NASA appoints crew captain and pilot for Crew Dragon

NASA has approved American astronauts Stephen Bowen and Woody Hoburg as part of the sixth crew of the Crew Dragon spacecraft & nbsp; to be sent to the ISS in 2023, TASS reports.

As noted in the statement of the department Bowen and Hoburg will serve as commander and pilot respectively. The remaining two places on the ship will be occupied by representatives of the international management partners.

For Bowen, this flight will be the fourth. Hoburg, in turn, will go into space for the first time.

Recall that in November the third Crew Dragon crew arrived at the station with the Americans Raja Chari, Tom Marshburn and Kayla Barron, as well as the European Space Agency astronaut Matthias Maurer. Together with them on the ISS are Russian cosmonauts Anton Shkaplerov and Peter Dubrov, as well as NASA astronaut Mark Vande Hai.

Earlier it was reported that SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket with a space laboratory into orbit.
